If you believe in the Constitution, you believe in the Amendments that it alone substantiates. You believe in the Government that it, alone, created.

As long as the people are being properly represented (Got any complaints Coburn constituents?...neither do Pelosi's voters), which is determined by the Census (another popular whipping boy of the right wing lunatics), the definition of today's Federal Government is Constitutional...I am not persuaded by those uber-conservatives that imply the weakness of the Constitution.

The democrats since the 1940s haven't really gone that much further left really. FDR was about as far left as you can get.

If you read my comment, I was merely stating that there is plenty of room left of the current Democratic Party, a place inhabited by true progressives like Nader and Chomsky...not that either were Democrats.
