He ran as a Republican right? So some people that probably just voted straight party was how he got them.

 

It was a primary, meaning he ran solely against Republicans in his losing effort.

 

I wanted to get an SMU license plate that said CJK5H but apparently that plate is taken. Don't know if it's an SMU plate or not though.
