Don't forget WVU, we still have another game with the Mountaineers (that should be a win). We really need a couple of quality wins if we're going to be a bubble team. Maybe the Big XII competition will make up for a lack of quality OOC games.
I haven't mentioned or linked the chicks side of things, so here's that. In Big 12: Baylor 1 seed Poke State 4 seed OU 5 seed ISU 7 seed WVU 9 seed (one of last four in) Kansas 10 seed Texas Tech 10 seed Big 12 is tied with SEC for most bids with 7 Note: Unlike their Bevo brothers, Lady Whorn is still completely defeated in the Big 12, currently at 0-7
Badger, the lady whorns came back from an 8 point deficit in the first half to swamp Deb's Lady Cats for their 1st Big 12 win this weekend also. Don't forget Deb's Lady Cats were playing with 5 scholarship players and 1 walk-on.
If we can finish the deal and pull off a sweep against Baylor, this could really shake things up. I had us battling it out with OSU and ISU for the last two NCAA locks (4-6). If we can win in Norman against Baylor and K-State, we've got a great chance to make a run for that 2 spot. Regardless, this win has me more confident than ever that we're NCAA bound.
Bracketology updated a few days ago. Here's a link. Big 12 still has 6 bids: 1 seed Kansas 7 seed KSU 8 seed Baylor (lol @ them) 10 seed OU 10 seed OSU 11 seed ISU Every team's projection except KU and Baylor moved down from last week.
I'm confident that if we beat K-State at home this weekend, we'll also be getting some votes in the polls!!!
I think we're in a position for the third straight weekend where we will be rated if we win. Hopefully this one goes better than the last two.
I like the "S-curve" this guy puts together... http://bracketville.wordpress.com/s-curve/ JANUARY 15 | S-CURVE RANKINGS | 1-68 1. KANSAS 2. MICHIGAN 3. FLORIDA 4. ARIZONA 5. Indiana 6. Syracuse 7. Hurts who? That should help you as you've already beat us once come March. These last two games OSU has played very well and if that trend can continue, that win will only continue to look better in March
Well put a big fat down arrow by us. We looked terrible today. I hope we can win our next game to make up for it.
9-10 conference wins is still attainable, if we do that we have a good shot. We could use an upset at home of Kansas though
Hurts OU. The Big XII has 5 NCAA locks, and until today we had the edge on OSU. Now we don't. With Baylor's recent slip ups, we might be able to edge them out if we can complete the sweep against them. I don't think we'll be ahead of Baylor when it's all said and done, though, so that means we'll probably be sluggin it out with ISU for the last spot. I know there is potential for a sixth bid, but it's far from a guarantee.
Eielson, I thought the NCAA said they dont consider head to head, only who your quality wins are against? Bottom line, if we get to 10 conf wins I think we are a lock, if we get to 9 it will be close
They updated it Friday on ESPN. 1-seed Kansas 6-seed KSU 9-seed OU 9-seed Baylor 10-seed OSU 11-seed Iowa State
First time since Gonzaga that we have taken a butt whippin...I really hope we havent peaked. Kruger wont let us fall apart but I do fear that we slip to the NIT if we dont stop this at just 2 or 3 games
