2013-14 College basketball meltdowns

I missed doing the football ones a few years ago when football season ended. In retrospect, its best that I don't have all my eggs in one basket (the womens basketball thread) when you occasionally have seasons like this one.

Note: Out of curiosity, I looked up KU's unis. Adidas describes those as "chalk" and the others as "phog." Apparently the Baylor ones just unveiled are described as "sh!t" ...no not really
Another note: I had to go back to page 4 of their forum to find their game thread... which is 70 pages long

I am only through page 35 of 70. If I really feel like it I'll check out the point when the game got even worse and the loss became official...

 

I'm back. Need more therapy. No Sooner mens basketball for days and No telling where the womens team will end up till next week

I usually ignore TCU during basketball season because they really don't care, but since last night's my last chance at them, here's highlights from their four-page KillerFrogs.com game thread:
NCAA banned uniforms 76, TCU 0-19s 68

Final evaluation:
- Don't care about basketball
- Don't message board about basketball usually
- And your football sucked last year too... can we send you back to the MWC?
+ But, this game thread alone takes you out of failing grade category. Please, more like this next season.

Final TCU meltdown grade: D-minus

Final evaluation:
+ Texas arrogance
+ Bashing own players
+ Jeff Orr getting Marcus Smart suspended right before OU game in Stillwater
- Really don't care as much as football
- Attend games well, so less fans on the Internet to b!tch
- Not as vulgar as real life Tech fans

Final Tech meltdown grade: C

badger: They had 4 wins last season, but at least one of them was against OSU

+ Potty mouth
+ Hate their highly paid head coach
+ Call out opposing fans for their lack of creativity and overly using the "boo" technique
- A lot more apathy than last year
- A lot of the posts you see are by the same people over and over
+ But you might not have realized that if I didn't tell you

If ever I were to do an OU meltdown, ouhoops.com really went berserk overnight into this morning. However, since I am also a poster over there, I have decided to maintain any good relations I have and instead go a more creative route:

Final grade: A-minus (because most of their long arse threads are FIRE FORD REFS SUCK DURRRRRRR)

 

Taking pride in losing to gonzaga instead of ndsu is the aggiest thing I've seen. I'm not at all surprised, just entertained. So thanks for goin to that place, baj. I could never expose myself to that much crap orange ever again

- It pales in comparison to their football meltdowns despite the first two points.

+ Boo the refs as much as real life KSU fans
- But are largely mediocre, just like real life KSU fans
Final grade: C-minus

 

I actually was hoping ksu would win...thinking wsu would have had a better shot, but they played well against uk. The thing I thought was wow, they seem pretty civil to their own team...lol...by their comments.

They did get a few bad calls...I would agree with that.
