Stoops talking to Notre Dame?

I hear he is looking at a possible position at Boise State.

 

yeah i'm hearing it heat up too, from the Tribune and ESPN (so take it for what it's worth) but their saying Stoops and Ferentz which essentially would wipe out Ferentz from any chance are the top candidates on the ND AD list. yes it would be a step down from OU but some would have to think he's more interested than in year's past.

Anybody who talks to Notre Dame about a future job has a career death wish.

 

Every time a top job opens up, Stoops's name is dropped.

 

I seriously doubt Bob will even get an offer..

Colin Cowherd is quoting the Chicago Sun-Times as saying they have a source claiming Stoops and Ferenz are on the short list, and that Stoops has expressed interest....fwiw.

 

Those people are all full of ****. How the hell would they know he expressed interest? What their conversation went like was:

Domer Office Gopher: "So I heard maybe they might be getting rid of Weis."
Reporter: "Wow, what else?"
DOG: "Yeah, and they might look at Bob Stoops and Kirk Freererrenetz. Or whoever."
Reporter: "Holy penis what a scoop!"
DOG: "Yup. Stoops probably wants out of that Okie hellhole to come up to glorious Jesustown, USA! I bet we get a couple championships next year with him at the helm."

There you have it, folks.

From all accounts (^^) he sounds VERY interested.

 

Wouldn't that make our home and home with ND interesting if IT happened?!!

Personally I think that if a four loss year is Stoops worst here, he's nuts looking around.
(aside from his first year, which is certainly understandable)

 

Just who exactly is the coward who won't speak out about who their source is, when and where Stoops said he was interested so he can shoot the rumors down?

 

Stoops is not talking about other jobs during our season

 

Tracking the tail number of the plane the coaching staff uses for flights, there have been flights to Chicago in the past week...

 

goingoneight's fearless prediction:

Dean Blevins, Al Eschback or Chris Lincoln will ask Stoops tomorrow about Notre Dame.

To add, Stoops will say no, making the inquirer look like a fool.

 

Of course Stoops is interested...he's Catholic.

If he does bolt for South Bendover then I lose all respect for him.
