Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook was arrested in his hometown of Cameron, Texas, on Monday on a complaint of criminal trespass.

An official at the Milam County jail said Westbrook was booked at 11:30 a.m. Monday and was released from the jail at 2:15 p.m. the same day.

"We're aware of it and are addressing internally," OU spokesmen Mike Houck said.

Westbrook is expected to be a big piece of a Sooners' offense looking for a No. 1 receiver after the loss of Sterling Shepard.

As a junior last season, Westbrook had 46 catches for 743 yards and four touchdowns and was named the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

Westbrook's arrest was first reported by KMIL.com.

If this only consisted of fishing on private property, I wouldn't even hold this charge against a whorn player. Sloooow day for the sports media.

Why do they even put out stuff like this with such a complete lack of detail?

Hell, haven't we all been arrested for criminal trespass at one time or another?

Personally, I've been arrested twice for that one.
