and I thought it would be fun to try to spell the words on papper as they go along and see if I get them right. Damn those word are hard I didnt get a single one Those kids have to cheat
I think they get a paedia to study, so it's really about who has the best memory, not who is the best natural and most well-read speller.
a lot of it has to do with studying word origins..that is why they are always asking where the word is derived..but a lot of memory also, but there is a ton of skill also.
exactly. If you know the origin it gets you half way there, providing you are familiar with the way different languages operate.
