OMAHA!. We are so young, this is a year ahead of schedule.

BOOMER!

 

The CWS is pool play, like the Big 12 tourney. The winner of each pool meets for the championship in a best-of-three series, 'cause the NCAA loves them some extra TV money.

 

I thought this was the case, but looking at the tv schedule they included if necessary games. I think it went bact to being essentially 2 4 team double elimation tournments where the winners play best of 3, kinda like another regional, super regional thing.

 

Yep, two four-team double-elimination brackets. Thus the "if necessary" games. So in theory, it could take seven more wins to finish this thing off.

Sheesh.

I don't think you could have scripted it any better. Amazing game!

 

Reine is a beastman, and he feeds on the soul of the opposing pitcher. That last homer he hit, he had this look on his face like "sorry, son, but this is something I have to do." Ice cold.

 

The way UVA played yesterday showed that they didn't deserve to be in the CWS... after game 2, perhaps, but not game 3.
