Yes, they really f-ed up when thy fired Mangino. They should crawl back on their knees to him. And good Lord, why would you hire notre damn feces anyway?
All I know is, Mangino did this: Big 12 Coach of the Year (2007)[13] Walter Camp Coach of the Year (2007)[14] AP National Coach of the Year (2007)[15] Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year (2007)[16] The Home Depot Coach of the Year Award (2007)[17] Sporting News College Football Coach of the Year (2007)[18] Woody Hayes Trophy (2007)[19] George Munger Award (2007)[20] AFCA Coach of the Year (2007)[21] Paul "Bear" Bryant Award (2007)[19] Orange Bowl win over VT (2007) Then,,,he was gone.
I just listened to an interview with Brett McMurphy of ESPN, and he said that Brent Venables is among the coaches being considered. I have no idea if BV would be a decent head coach, but he is a native of Kansas...although he played and coached at KSU, so that might be too much to overcome. Thought that was kinda interesting.
how many coaches have gone between OSU, OU and Texas? i can't imagine it would matter that much in Lawrence.
If the money is right, it won't matter. I wouldn't mind seeing him there, and I think they need a defensive minded coach who's kind of a hard ***...BV meets that criteria, and his seat has got to be pretty warm at Clemson.
Hell, Im a fat guy. I can do it if the price is right!! Wonder if they are taking online applications?
