Hurt that the Stars couldn't take care of business when Detroit gave them the chance on Sunday.

But at least my Blackhawks have a chance to defend their Cup.

Not sure they will though. No Dustin Byfuglien and maybe no Dave Bolland means nobody to jump up and be a hero.

    Vancouver in 6

    Other picks:

    Phoenix in 6 over Detroit
San Jose in 5 over Los Angeles
    Anaheim in 6 over Nashville

And I don't care about the Leastern Conference first round matchups.

This is one of my favorite things to watch this time of year. I was going to start this thread tomorrow, if no one else did. I don't have to now. I think the Stanley Cup Playoffs are one of the very best postseasons in sports.

Here is the schedule for the first round of the playoffs.

Love some playoff hockey. I personally think it is the hardest championship to win. Just wish the Stars were in it was all.

It was a sloppy first period between the Red Hawks and Coyotes. It seemed like there were a lot of penalties.

The dominant second period is what helped Detroit win game 1.

Habs and Sabres score Game 1 wins on the road.

Thus far, they join the Preds as the only playoff teams to win Game 1 on the road. Kings trying to make it a 4-4 split tonight in San Jose.

Game 1 between the Kings and Sharks was really good. The Sharks ended up winning in overtime.

Man, I have three teams I love to follow, the Stars (my favorite), the Flames and the Oilers and I went 0-3 in playoffs, so for me, I am pulling for my 4th favorite team, the Sabres! Let's go Sabs!

Caps go up on the Rags, 2-0.

'Ning knots up series with Pens.

And can somebody put out an APB for Patrick Kane and the rest of the Blackhawks offense? Please? For my sake, anyway? :D

If Kane doesn't show up tonight, just stick a fork in the team that Stan Bowman screwed up because he has no clue how to manage the salary cap.

B, your pick of Winterpeg in 6 hurts. :D

I asked Bob Stoops if I could have a mulligan on that Yotes-Wings pick.

    He refused my request. :D

Will Vancouver be able to shut out Chicago tonight? I will be watching.

Good job Caps. 3 more to go. I loved the "We are Louder" chants today.

The Vancouver Canucks are competing with the Dallas Mavericks for Worst Chokejob of the Week it seems. Dallas turned in a solid effort with yesterday's blowing of a 23 point lead, but don't count out Luongo and the Canucks.

Boston is on fire in game 3 vs. Philadelphia. They have scored two goals in just over a minute into the game.

The Sharks win game 7 against the Red Wings to advance.

Well, Boston just blew a golden chance to go up 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals.

3-0 first period lead evaporates in the blink of an eye thanks to 2 goals from Teddy Purcell and Sean Bergenheim before Simon Gagne scores the game winner in the third.

And in the Western Conference Finals, some chick flashed Ben Eager of the Sharks.
