Oklahoma City? Puleez. Austin's 5X as cool as that city. Does Robert Plant hang out in your town for a week? You get some shows but it's nothing like SXSW or even the ACL fest in August. You can check out the 1000+ bands playing in our city for this 5-day fest starting Wed. The Owens had a world premiere of their new movie 'The Wendell Baker Story' here last Friday.

I KNEW this thread was gonna turn into an Austin vs. OKC smackfest.

 

Dude, don't get defensive. Austin's a great city. Been there many times. Been to SXSW. You just left yourself open with the "ROBERT FREAKING PLANT IS IN TOWN!!" comment. You don't have to convince me of Austin's coolness. Curiously, however, it sounds like you need to convince yourself of it...

And, BTW, yes, occasionally celebrities actually do come to OKC, and sometimes even hang out here.
