Scrambling QBs do not eqaul running QBs.. See if you disagree with this list: http://www.craveonline.com/sports/articles/176896-top-5-rushing-quarterbacks-of-all-time again, successful RB's in the NFL are the rare exception......not the rule. Running QBs are more prone to injury at all levels. Manziel had a great year. He deserved the Heisman. Let's wait and see how the rest of his career pans out.
Yep. Never thought Landry was outstanding. He was a serviceable QB but that's it. The biggest problem I had with Landry is that he never seemed to have that little extra "umph" in his game that would allow him to pull OU over the top. He was so emotionless on the sidelines as well....always just kind of stood there without trying to really rally his unit and get them pumped up. I understand that just isn't everyone's personality but I was always yelling at the TV for him to just do SOMETHING...ANYTHING to pull the team over the edge...but nadda.
Tonight, we got Testaverde'd. Anyone else remember the game when we just could not get our hands on that guy? It was almost magic...black magic. Better team beaten by one guy. Not that we were the better team tonight. Seems like I remember Vinnie throwing to Irvin that night
I want to hear you say that next year when all our QBs suck compared to LJ and we finish 4th or 5th in the Big 12.
Yep I noticed this too. So assuming we get 2-3 yards on second and 10, we now are third and seven. Hmmmm, why not just put pressure on Landry and watch him scramble?
Why running QBs don't prosper at the next level. http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=330106028
