Welcome Marcus Dupree for Bedlam! Icons of OKC, Sooner Spectator and The Apothem store are excited to announce that former standout OU running back Marcus Dupree will be our autograph guest prior to the Bedlam game between OU and OSU on Saturday, Nov. 21. Marcus will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs at our tent in front of the Apothem (733 Asp Ave.) from 3:30 to 5 p.m. that day. Autographs will be $20 each (add $10 for inscriptions) on any item. Icons will have a variety of photos, helmets, mini-helmets and footballs available for purchase. Sooner Spectator will have Thirty 11x17 mounted Dupree posters for sale, and fans can also bring their own items. Ten of those 11x17 posters will be signed by both Marcus and legendary Coach Barry Switzer - those are $50 each. As a freshman at OU in 1982, Dupree ran for 1,144 yards and 13 touchdowns, showcasing incredible talent and physical gifts that put him in the national spotlight. He averaged 7.8 yards per carry to lead the nation. But he left OU just three games into the 1983 and never returned to play for coach Barry Switzer and the Sooners. Even so, he is still recognized as one of the most exciting players in OU history. His well-documented story, "The Best That Never Was" was featured as part of the 30 for 30 documentary series on ESPN.
