The Sooner Spectator guy didn't. He did have Billy number one though.

Q - considering the OLs he ran behind, definitely...
dupree - nope
i do agree that peterson will most likely finish #1, especially given our OL situation last year...
let's see (no order, just off the top of my head):
Billy, little joe, pruitt, owens, vessels, AD, Elvis peacock, Kenny King, Lydell, Spencer....that's 10 and there are others. i'd give Q the nod over Dupree just because of what his teams accomplished. though, obviously Dupree was a freak and potentially so many things.
what's the spectator list?
I think if you bumped Stanley Wilson for Q I could accept that list.
what's the Spectator's list?
I'll have to walk up to the other house to get it.
Griffin yes, Dupree no.
To be honest, AD has no business being in there yet either. He needs to prove it again this year for him to be a top 10 RB all time.
Dupree was a tremendous talent but only showed flashes of brilliance.
Griffin is #4 on the all-time rushing list at OU and had great junior and senior seasons.
I would also include Demond Parker on the Top 10 list. Did he include him?

i thought that was a pretty well thought out article, his list wasnt just "recent players" but spanned across the schools historyOriginally Posted by gdc
somebody good is always going to get left off a list like that....

Notice 4 of the top 26 were QBs.
Q - yes.
Demond was #9. Probably would have been much higher on better teams.
1. Sims
2. McDonald
3. Pruitt
4. Peterson
5. Washington
6. Vessels
7. Owens
8. Wilson
9. Parker
10. Thomas
need to post what his criteria was, it helps the reader understand why he made the choices he did
Pruitt's 7.4 ypc is pretty gaudy.
He cited his own eye-witness observations since 1967, interviews, and reading.Originally Posted by jk the sooner fan

as it is...I'd put Little Joe at 2 and move everyone else down a slot...Q would be between Steve and Wilson.
The author actually did make an allowance for moving AD up after this season, acknowledging that his career is still a work in progress.Originally Posted by Octavian
With four solid seasons, Q should definitely be on there.
It will be fun watching AD move up the all time list this season. Which game will he make it to #1? My prediction is Missouri.
given the other QB's yards per carry, including Mildren, Steve Davis, and Thomas Lott...... Jamelle's 5+ is pretty impressive.
how many of you would have guessed Jerald Moore's ypc was higher than AD's? not me. David Overstreet probably deserves some run in this thread.
yes
Demond Parker? get real
