Am I the only conservative who feels this way?
Sean Hannity gets on my nerves. Bad. And he doesn't come across as very smart to me. I've never read a book by him and probably won't. I normally like to read things that I find intellectually stimulating and challenging. I can't imagine this guy ever writing anything that I would enjoy.
Ann Coulter is annoying too. And I realize beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but this woman is not attractive to me at all. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm sure many women view me the same way.
I'm fat, bald and 40. - Everything you never wanted to be. But I'm not a GOP figure head either. And I wonder how this girl ever got to be considered a person we should look to for advice.
Palin is attractive... until she talks. That voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. And again, I'd like to hear something intelligent come out of her mouth rather than just parroting, "I'm a maverick... I'm a maverick...". The first time I ever heard her was when she spoke at the GOP convention. I'll give credit where credit is due. She did do outstanding that evening. But since then, I've never been impressed. And her book wouldn't be worth reading to me.
Mark Levin rants on the radio like a mad man. I did pick up his book and read it though. He's rumored to be a 'constitutional scholar'. I don't know about that. But I do know that there is some worthwhile stuff in his book. Especially when he discusses immigration. It is well thought out and make a lot of sense. But seriously, do you have to act like such a nut on your show?
Limbaugh, believe it or not, is a very intelligent man. I've never personally met someone who doesn't at least give him credit for being sound in his positions that actually listens to him. The people I know who don't like him have never even listened to him for even 30 minutes. Rather they form opinions based on hand picked soundbites. Without exception, every time I've heard someone bash him over a comment he's made, that I heard him make live, it is taken out of context. And there is no doubt in my mind that it is done intentionally. He's the only public conservative figure that I can think of that I can tolerate listening to.
Having said that, I try to listen to msnbc/cnn to get another perspective on things. But I'm sorry, msnbc's line up is a who's who of wing-nuttery. Olberman has lost his mind. That Madow woman is more annoying that Coulter and Palin combined. And that Ed guy is nothing short of a corrupt anarchist.
So, maybe its not the conservative. Maybe I just don't like media people.

Try Fareed Zakaria on Sunday morning at 9 on CNN. He's probaby the best interviewer on TV. Then try Reliable Sources right after that. They take the weeks soundbytes and then discuss them.

Re: Am I the only conservative who feels this way?
I'm a moderate, but all those people get on my nerves. Same with their counterparts on the other side. And yes, I've listened to or watched full shows, so it's not a lack of context so much as an aversion to shrill, unproductive diatribes.

Re: Am I the only conservative who feels this way?
Hannity is only good when he actually gets the facts right but that's not often enough. Like his stuff when he went on about the spending our government was doing a couple years ago. And all of the stuff he had on health care in other countries and states. But his show is pretty unwatchable for the most part.

Haha, how silly. Conservatism is stupid. The founders were stupid, and the constitution is shameful.

People that don't like Rush are the ones that just listen to soundbits taken from MSNBC or whatever. Rush's comments are usually fact based.

The Constitution is stupid, outdated, and in need of major reform.

Wasn't Rush 40 by the time he first voted in an election?

I don't like any of those people like that and as I stated already, I've listent to or watched plaenty of all of them. The Maddow's and Limnaughs of the world are just far too divisive and bitter for me to take seriously.

Prolly true, since nobody ever told him that's how you elected people.

Seriously, watch CNN. It seems like every time I flip to MSNBC they're talking about Islam. CNN actually discusses relevant issues, and has the least spin of any network IMO. Anderson Cooper might have the most fair show on TV.

Re: Am I the only conservative who feels this way?
I do listen to Rush sometimes. I don't like him for reasons that have nothing to do with his politics. I do sometimes agree with him but often not.
My complaint about Rush is he is blinded by his belief that everything not Republican is wrong or at least that is how he comes across to me, and so he blasts with a shotgun when he should be swatting with a rolled up newspaper.
Rush also has on slow news days a tendency to focus on minutiae and blow things out of proportion, which only makes him look petty, mean and small. Stick to the issues, Rush, even if it means rehashing something instead of making a mountain out of a pimple.
I am no fan of Obama or any of the administration's policies. I do think that we are in the third of three bad choices for President in a row, with W being the first two. As a registered Independent, I don't accept as dogma the policies of either party or the Libertarians, though I can agree with parts of all three. That usually leaves me scratching my head come election time because I cannot support any major candidate without reservation.

Re: Am I the only conservative who feels this way?
Theyre all whores. At least Maher tries to be funny.
One could spend all day shooting holes in Hannitys diatribes. He is hurting the "conservative" movement because he is nothing of the sort. Bigot neocon maybe, but not conservative.
Limbaugh has proven himself to be too much of a hypocrite for me.
Hypocrisy in all media is rampant.

If you listened to him more, you would know he is quick to go after republicans who behave as socialists, and/or other types of bad behavior. He often criticizes W Bush, Bush Senior, McCain and Lindsay Graham, Arlan Specter when he was a republican, both of the Maine Senators, etc. He does realize, however, that only the republican party can overcome the democrats, and that trying to create a conservative third party will only strengthen the democrats.

So he thinks our government was just appointed, not elected?? No wonder why W was so bad. No wonder why he's so dumb. No wonder why his listeners(teabaggers) sound like parrots.
