Tiger Woods, what really happened

With a record of 109-23 (.826) and six Big 12 championships in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.

Re: Tiger Woods, what really happened
No biggie. It ain't like he's the POTUS or anything. Oh wait, that's no biggie either...MEH.
I'll be curious to see how much Tiger gets raked over the coals on this deal. Especially since he's a semi-outspoken conservative - who happens to be blasian. It'll be interesting.

Re: Tiger Woods, what really happened
Well, I guess we have our answers now. Per ESPN,
http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4705945
Tiger Woods, charged with careless driving and fined $164 by Florida authorities on Tuesday and squarely in the crosshairs of the celebrity and tabloid media, issued a statement Wednesday apologizing for his actions.
"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," Woods said on his Web site. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
"Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.
"But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.
"Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.
"I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."
The Web site posting came hours after US Weekly magazine put Woods on its cover, released Wednesday, alleging he has a two-plus-year affair with a Los Angeles cocktail waitress. It also comes comes a week after the National Enquirer reported that Woods had an affair with a New York VIP host -- a charge the woman strongly denies, and less than a week after he was involved in a car accident.
The US Weekly report claims that Jaimee Grubbs has more than 300 text messages from Woods, and the US Weekly Web site posted a voice mail Grubbs says is Woods calling her last week and asking to change the ID on her phone so that his wife wouldn't recognize it.
Grubbs says she met Woods at a Las Vegas nightclub the week after the 2007 Masters -- two months before Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, gave birth to their first child.
Wednesday morning, the magazine published what it said was a voice mail provided by Grubbs that she said was left by Woods on Nov. 24, three days before his early morning car crash. In the voicemail, a man asks Grubbs to take her name off her phone.

Busted. . . .
Here's what I don't get: He's got a life that's tailor-made for being single. Sheesh, Tiger has the best situation a single guy could ever have. And obviously he's got issues with a 1-woman lifestyle.
Why **** it all up by marrying someone?

Re: Tiger Woods, what really happened
I agree that his family life is no ones business but unfortunately thats the life he lives and he should have just came out initially, cleared it up, and been done with it. now that it seems like he has been lying it only comes off worse

Re: Tiger Woods, what really happened
I won't be crapping on Tiger unless he pulls an OJ, the man has accomplished more then anyone at the age of 33 then anyone else in my lifetime. Walk a few blocks in his shoes with scumbags hitting him up left and right the whole way.

Yep, the dude has made a tremendous living off great publicity, and the second some bad comes his way, he's indignant about the intrusion of the media. Please.

Re: Tiger Woods, what really happened
He is one of the few athletes the media has protected over the years IMO...Now that they are treating him like other athletes, he isn't sure what to do with it.
