I had to go outside a few minutes ago..the sky is that perfect blue color that the Oklahoma flag is based on..no wind, not a cloud in the sky..nice and clear and perfect temperature....

Brat speaks the truth. It is absolutely gorgeous outside today. Question for the science geeks: why is the sky such a beautiful shade of blue in early fall? I am assuming it is because the sun is at a different angle, causing sunlight to refract through the atmosphere differently and allow more blue light in. Is this right? Or what is it if not?
It sure is purdy, that's about all I know.
Methinks it's mostly a function of the relative lack of humidity. When it's humid, the microscopic water suspended in the atmosphere obscures the view. No mug = brilliant blue skies. It's also why it feels so nice. When its not humid, your bod can cool itself more efficiently, thus we don't sweat like little piggies and we stay all dry and comfy.Originally Posted by Viking Kitten
