Lydell Carr.
Not bad. I was thinking more in lines with J.D. Runnels or Kenjaun (Sp?) Rasheed.Originally Posted by r5TPsooner

Lydell Carr. Not even close.
Stanley Wilson as a runner. J.D. Runnels as a blocker.
Stanley was a breakaway runner at all times. EXPLOSIVE runner whereas Lydell was a tough short yardage guy who could break one every now and then.
Runnels, can you say, "PANCAKE BLOCKER!" with some great hands.
Here I sit just a flexin, giving birth to another UT grad.
no love for Kenny King?
Where can I get Boomer Sooner ringtone? TIA

Horace Ivory was a STAR! He especially kicked some whorn ***!
Put a lid on it! Kiss it goodbye. We gave it away, and apparently thought it made sense to do so.
Depends on the offense you like to run. Carr in the bone, J.D. in the pro-style offense.

Kenny King for running the ball, JD for blocking
Leon "Mule Train" Heath. Joe Gaynor might have been if his knee had stayed healthy.
That catch JD made in the Holiday Bowl to put us up was freaking awesome!
...wait that never happened did it?

Kenny King was a stud.
Too bad that FB is a position that's fading.
Things sure have changed.
M McKinley should be mentioned, but my fave is either K King or Lydell.
SoonerinabileneOh sweet jesus. Its like watching the special olympics in high definition on here now.
Seth Littrell would be my pick! Dude was money every time for anything we needed, including 20 TD's and 400+ rushing yards his JR. and Sr. years.
He's coaching at TTech now, this is from his bio...
A four-year letterwinner at Oklahoma, Littrell was team captain on the Sooners' 2000 National Championship team and played under Leach during the 1999 season, when Leach was the OU offensive coordinator. Littrell rushed for 231 yards and seven touchdowns during his junior season, finished his career in 2000 with 11 rushing scores. He scored twice during his career on receptions. The Sooners also played in the 1999 Independence Bowl.

Kenny King, an unsung hero on those flashy wishbone teams. #30 was a real threat.......
King would be the runner....Runnels the blocker. Bother were excellent at what the offense was doing at their respective times.
