Will we see another 300 win pitcher?

These are the players who I think have a legit shot and where I think they will end up in a broad sense...if I forgot anyone feel free to add to the list. The names highlighted are the ones I really think will do it if anyone

    Close but no cigar

Randy Johnson-284 wins, if he could put together 2 more healthy seasons yes but that is asking alot, I say NO

Mike Mussina-246 wins, he is 39 yrs old and would need to avg 15 wins a season for 3 1/2 more years. NO

Andy Pettite-194 wins, only 35 so he would need to avg about 15 wins for 7 more years, I say NO

    Moyer and Wells, no shot

    Current younger pitchers

    Good shot if healthy

    Sabathia-95 wins, 27 yrs old
    Zambrano-78 wins, 26 yrs old
    Oswalt-110 wins, 29 yrs old
    Peavy-69 wins, 26 yrs old
    Santana-90 wins, 28 yrs old
    Buerhle-106 wins, 28 yrs old

Big number but wont get there
    Beckett-71 wins, 27 yrs old
    Halladay-108 wins, 30 yrs old
    Penny-85 wins, 29 yrs old
    Hudson-131 wins, 32 yrs old
    Lowe-108 wins, 34 yrs old
    Zito-110 wins, 29 yrs old
    Garland-90 wins, 28 yrs old
    L.Hernandez-130 wins, 32 yrs old
    M.Morris-118 wins, 33 yrs old
    D.Willis-65 wins, 26 yrs old
    Colon-146 wins, 34 yrs old
    Mulder-103 wins, 30 yrs old

Really young, but has a shot if they dont flame out

    Hamels-21 wins, 23 years old
    Verlander-28 wins, 24 yrs old
    Kazmir-30 wins, 23 yrs old
    F. Hernandez-24 wins, 21 yrs old

With a record of 109-23 (.826) and six Big 12 championships in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.

Since wins are a fairly poor method of evaluating a pitchers performance, I think we marks for pitchers should be deemphasized.
