Basically, the Big 12 has been in a "We Suck It" pattern for three or four seasons. The suck has gotten so bad that Texas A&M may actually challenge for the Big 12 South this year.
It appears to me that whatever screw job may occur in our secondary, we have the offensive line and running backs to ball control people to death. People will choose their poison, stopping the backs or having Malcom Kelly, Juaquin Iglesias, and Manual Johnson run track meets through their secondaries.
To me the bottom line is this: All our QB has to do is be very Hybl- or Thompson-like. That is, not turn the ball over.
Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Baylor are the epitomy of suck and that won't change in 2007. Texas appears to have OL experience problems and a penchant for having players busted for grass smoking, drinking and driving, and armed robbery. I bet there's not one game this year where there's not at least one 'Horn suspended for something. Austin.
The Big 12 North...well, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Baylor have wet dreams about being a part of the Big 12 North. Nebraska and Kansas State will battle it out like it was in the late 90s. Colorado hired a crappy coach and will continue to pay dearly for it. Mizzou, with its high school offense, will put on its annual underachievement act. And Kansas and Iowa State...well...Kansas and Iowa State.
The only thing working against us is this thing of Stoops only winning conference titles every other year. I say this is the year he breaks the pattern. Hooray.
