From the article, it appears that he'll be on the roster (that could be just talk but it appears they are saying he will). I'm a bit surprised that a good, but not great college player like him without NBA level ball-handling skills could make it. Good for him.
Who in the heck cares
The average shelf life of an NBA player in the league is under three years.
Therefore, even making a roster and playing for a year doesn't matter, because there is no job security in a league ruled by teenage stars.
Yet another reason I like the NFL.
