I got the barrel so hot on this little AR-15 .223 carbine that it will probaby have to be replaced:
My buddy shooting his .17HMR. They also had .22-250's and when they hit the target, it was like seeing something get blown apart with a grenade.
The carnage was very bad, even with the .17's and the .223's. The effect of the .22-250's was simply awesome. We got a video of one going 10 feet straight up into the air, completely out of the camera view. I only had FMJ's for the 6.5 Grendel and when I hit one, it would simply fall over. However, the .223 cal "Hornady V-Max" bullets would cut them into 2 peices. All ammo except the rimfire was our own reloads. It was the most fun I've ever had shooting. I think we did our part to help the local farmers and ranchers, and you cannot believe how many of these critters there are until you actually see it. There are millions of them. Millions!!!
