Earlier this week I went to see The Waitress. This is an extremely well written, quirky comedy.
It stars Keri Russell, Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Shelly. Andy Griffith is also in it. So is the guy who married Kate in a flashback on lost. Oh and Jeremy Piven plays Keri Russell's deadbeat husband.
Anyway, Adrienne Shelly wrote and produced this film in addition to playing a lead role. Unfortunately, she was murdered in her New York studio last year before the film was purchased for distribution.
we were looking for something to see, but the PG-13 rating kinda scared me off
Is it worthy of purchase when the DVD comes out?

Yes, it is worthy of a DVD purchase.
i read a review of it somewhere a couple days ago. sounded pretty good. tragic about A. Shelley. crazy world.
