Is this race any different than the nascar stuff you guys like so much? A buddy of mine has sent me pics of a couple of good looking ladies in the race and has really nice seats for the race. Worth the watch or should I flip to another channel?

It's still a bunch of left turn just to get back where they started.
Real Name: Mark
Kinda what I was thinking.
Open wheel racing is a similar but different animal. Too bad nobody is doing the 1100 this year.
For the good old American lifestyle: For the money, for the glory, and for the fun... mostly for the money.
the Indy 500 was a big deal when I was a kid. There were names you knew - Unser, Foyt, Rutherford, Mears. I don't know the open wheel guys anymore - probably cause I don't follow it either.
it is an experience to attend.
on tv, not so much. just watch the last coupla laps and sportscenter for the wrecks.
heh.
They say when two Top Fuel Dragsters hit it on the Green...
It measures over 2.0 on the richter scale.
Another experience you should attend IMO...
If the gals were sporting major cleavage and the cameras were mounted (no pun intended) on the hood pointed at them, it would be more interesting to watch.
Otherwise, the 220 mph crashes and subsequent car disintegrations can be seen on SportsCenter.
NHRA simply blows away the other stuff. I enjoy me a NASCAR race, and I used to love Indy cars until they got greedy and ****ed it all up, I love motorcycle racing (I used to do it), but attending an NHRA national event smokes them all. It's just astounding.Originally Posted by StoopTroup
