I am only 23 and I remember when Gatorade came in glass bottles and the original grape flavor was the best.

I just shed a tear of nostalgic joy for dear old Fizzies. I thought might be the only person alive who remembered them.
They remind me of playing in the lawn sprinkler on a hot Oklahoma summer Saturday, and coming into the house for baloney sandwiches (white bread, mayonnaise and baloney) lovingly served by dear young saintly Mom (God rest her soul). She'd ask what flavor of Fizzies I wanted; what a pleasant dilemma to decide. <sigh>

i think he just meant the original "Grape" as opposed to the "Grape Fierce" or whatever crap they have now, all i remember as a kid were Lemon-Lime and Orange

Thinking back Fizzies tasted kind of like Alka-Seltzer Plus only not as good.

Rootbeer fizzies. I never did try them in water.

I think passed on moms have a tendency to leave those kind of memories.
Put a lid on it! Kiss it goodbye. We gave it away, and apparently thought it made sense to do so.
