Which lawn game to you prefer? I enjoy them both, but I favor horseshoes because I tend to win at it a lot more.

For the good old American lifestyle: For the money, for the glory, and for the fun... mostly for the money.
I don't think I can decide.
I like to play both every leap year.
Croquet over horseshoes. Badminton beats all lawn sports, however.
Hard to top outdoor pudding Twister with that special lady.
Few games offer the joy provided by knocking your little brother's croquet ball 50' away under a thorn bush.
Lawn Darts. Most deadly lawn game ever.

Anybody around here play washers?
A couple times, but it wasn't a regular. We mostly played badminton, and destroyed a net every time.

No true hillbilly would pick croquet over horseshoes. It's got a "q" in it, for goodness sakes!

Definitely Croquet. I even have a white polo sweater and slacks that I wear when playing.

ok, first serious horseshoe game for me was when I was dating this chick in college, she was from Muskogee and they had a summertime party/picnic deal for the bank she worked at. I joined in the horseshoe tourney and quickly worked my way into the finals.
well, turns out I'm playing the bank prez in the finals and he noticed I had been ringing them up. so's, they change the rules for the finals giving points to anything close instead of ringing or touching the stake.
I lost. reminded me of Mr. Mom and Martin Mull.
