Just wanted to let everyone know that UGA is going to pwn osu next year in the season opener. I want to discuss it a little and maybe spread some light on my second favorite team. I think it is the team people should root for in the SEC. hell without us and them noone would be able to watch the amount of college football on tv...

That said I want to discuss this game as well, but didnt want to put it in the Sooner football board there will probably be smack talk in it, but I didnt want to take it there, because if you are for another team and go over there... well they all eventually get baned.

Ya. I got my MS there. Its a nice place... probably one of the best college towns evar. 60 bars in the downtown area all in waling distance. pretty sweet.

and SEC tailgaiting makes me jealous...

Isn't every SEC college town one of the best college towns evar (other than Nashville and Starkvegas)? And all of their stadiums are bowled in in some manner with spiral ramps on the 4 corners with an upper-deck situation or two. All of the guys sport the same, ghey *** 'do, and all their wimmens are easy drunks (NTTAWTT). Just sayin, not a whole lot of diversity amongst the masses... Do Dawgs wear the ghey red pants like Alabama frat boys?

Ya I hate it, but the chicks wear the sundresses with high heels to the game, which doesnt make logical sense but it is hawt. A lot of the guys have that same haircut... I call it the Georgia Swoop where the hair swoops right above their eyes. ghey. I was saying athens is one of the best college towns because of the 60 bars altogether. Its like an Austin or a Madison (Wis) or something like that.

Sanford Stadium seat ~92,000 and the games are played "between the hedges" it doesnt have the 4 spiral corners... They use elevators

I think I'll be staying in the ATL. How hard is it to get into Athens (more specifically, the 60-bar area) on gameday? And how far are said bars from Sanford?

That will be a pretty long drive... just because the ATL is an hour away from Athens and there will definitely be traffic on 316. The downtown area is in walking distance of the stadium.

go here http://flagpole.com/ and read the "guide to Athens" which catalogs every bar and restaurant in town. I recommend Last Resort for Dinner, The Grill for when you are late night an plowed.

No problem. finding a parking spot can be a bit of a chore... There are some fairly close hotels that you could probably stay at and then just walk.
