Yes I'm glad someone posted this. I knew he was fighting cancer for the last year. I had sent him a video of my son pitching. He was going to evaluate it for us, but lost his battle with cancer yesterday.
I always missed him when he left OU. I thought he was just a responsible for that NC as any coach or player.
As an OU fan, Reds fan and baseball fan it is a very sad day. Best wishes to his family.
I didn't even know he was sick. That is really sad to hear.

Ruhle was truly a class guy. We hear and read too much about the classless jerks in sports these days and not enough about gentlemen like this one.
Ruhle was our pitching coach when I was at OU playing ball. Great guy and I actually bought his game jersey when he was the pitching coach for the Astros. he left my wife and I tickets for a game in San Diego and brought players over to sign the jersey for us.
He'd do anything for anyone and the game of baseball will truly miss him.
