Oklahoma State will fulfill its 12,000 ticket allotment for the Independence Bowl later this month against Alabama.
University director of marketing Kyle Wray confirmed Friday that
an anonymous donor has purchased OSU's remaining ticket allotment, which is in excess of 3,000. Those tickets will be given to OSU students and faculty and staff members free of charge. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
"I think it is a great opportunity for our faculty, staff and students to get and go see the game thanks to the goodwill of this person," Wray said. "Two or three days ago this plan came together, and we're just grateful that this was made possible."
The free tickets will be available beginning Monday from the Boone Pickens Stadium south box office. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A valid OSU ID is required to receive the tickets.
