My alma mater made it to the state quarterfinals for the first time in school history before being defeated by the top ranked Davis Wolves in OT last night 36-35; the 11 wins is a school record and i'm sure the kids and coaches are extremely disappointed, but they should hold their heads up high as no one outside of Henryetta expected them to beat Cascia Hall last weekend and to make Davis work so hard last night; the QB for Davis is named LaQuinton Black, and he is one hell of a runner and the reason they won last night. Great job Henryetta!!

I haven't seen Vian, but after seeing Davis, the key will be stopping the Quarterback, LaQuentin Black; he hit us for over 200 yards on the ground, and had 2 long TD's called back because of holding; i think they only threw 3 or 4 passes the whole game because he's so elusive at running. Having said that, based on what i have heard about Vian, they should be able to move the ball quite effectively on Davis as Henryetta was able to run for over 200 and throw for almost another 200 on Davis after the kids got over their nerves. I also think that Vian will have more overall team speed and will be able to handle him better than we did, so i give Vian a very good chance of winning this game.

After many years of the players and students petitioning to change the name from the Fighting Hens to the Game Cocks or Fighting Cocks, the Board decided it was a good idea to change the name to The Knights within months after Troy Aikman entered the NFL and joined the Dallas Cowboys.
