that was actually my avatar a long time ago, then she started using it, so I retired it. now I'm back to using it.
This doesn't probably help much but my mom has a book at her house titled 'Ghost Towns of Oklahoma' or something very similar.

Erick. Or even Texola. Both are along Ye Olde 66 and were used as inspiration in the movie Cars. Though not technically "ghost" towns, they are mere shadows of their former selves. There are some neat buildings on Erick's main street; including the nifty Roger Miller Museum.

Texola is more abandoned (population 45), but you can drop by the local watering hole for an adult beverage.
might not be appealing, but around Boise City theres a few, Cimmarron has a lot, but its all mesas and shrub lands...reminds ya of old west ghost towns if ya care enough to drive out there for pics
