    Ipod question

I just got a new computer. If I try to plug in my ipod to the new one, will it wipe out all my songs that I have downloaded using the old computer? Do I have to de-commission it from the old computer or something?

    TIA

    Re: Ipod question

you can tell iTunes to not automatically update the iPod and to do it manually

without 3rd party software you can't copy from the iPod though

Yes. It'll sync the iPod with whatever is on iTunes unless you go into iTunes and tell it not to before hand.

    Re: Ipod question

    thanks.

I had tried hooking my ipod up before to my work computer a few weeks ago, cause I was wanting to delete some songs I never listened to, and it erased the entire thing. When I went back to the home computer, I could put everything back on, but I just didnt want to always have to use the old computer for Ipod related stuff.
