He was at a wedding in Austin Saturday night (his wife was a bridesmaid). Chatted him up at the reception. Was a super nice guy. Didn't even mind that I was a Longhorn, although he did mention that Gabe Muoneke was a dirty SOB and acknowledged the fact that they had a good winning streak on us. Got a kick out of that.Said he's opened up a PR firm in OK City.
you should have complimented him on the couple times he outplayed Chris Mihm.
he and Victor Avila both had double digit games against the Mihmster.
He said he enjoyed those games against UT. Didn't mention Mihm but sure remembered Muoneke. He was very complimentary of Najera. Mentioned he played a year in Belgium after OU before he hung 'em up.

Renzi was also a pretty accomplished Oklahoma high school swimmer. i've never swam competitively but i imagine he'd be pretty intimidating at 6' 10" or whatever.

I'd vote for him.
I know Renzi also. He and his company are very active with the State Chamber of Commerce in Oklahoma. Very nice guy, and sharp as well. The fact that he's a Republican is just a bonus!
