Cruising is fun, though there are some people in Fla who might dispute that right now. And there was a cruise ship that lost power (steam driven) when we were in St Thomas - it drifted and blocked the entrance to the harbour. Our ship was last one out for 48 hours. Many people had to miss some of the planned ports-of-call. The people on the steam ship had no AC, no water pressure (read bathrooms) and packaged foods only until the boilers were up. About a year later, the same ship caught fire while making an Alaskan cruise. We avoid the Dutch lines.
