i'm curious about something -- in your respective opinions (which i realize is nothing more than a guess) - how do you think the whole thing goes down?
i mean, say you're a catholic, and an islamic suicide bomber blows himself up at a cafe in israel - what happens immediately upon his death? is he greeted by some kind of devil's assistant who shuffles him down some steps to his resting (burning?) place? is there some kind of mock courtroom procedure? how exactly do the next few hours unfold? is it really eternity?
i've always felt that if you were on fire for a few million years, it might lose its effect after awhile, but who really knows?
for those that do have an opinion, and have thought about it, i'd love for you to chime in.
for the record, i don't believe in the heaven/hell concept, and don't feel that we'll be judged the way most religions do. i'm open to the idea of some kind of afterlife, but trying to guess how it takes place is nothing more than a random guess. on the other hand, we could just become worm food and it's over.
