    36-24-36

36 straight hours out in the TX panhandle without any sleep.

24 hr shifts (my first single operator job)

    36 miles into Pampa.

...I'd like to add the numbers 11, 5.5, 2, & 1. Those are the mbps I'm getting from the wireless router...meaning I can only catch a signal about 3 hrs. a day or a few minutes at a time. 11 works fine if I put the laptop against the front wall of the RV...2 & 1 means no signal. I'm so missin' the SO.

Goodness, you're near my brother's wife's hometown of Miami, Texas.

I've done two wells close to Miami this year. They close the town, turn off the lights, & roll up the roads at about 7pm.

    Oh, and 0 cell service.

Yeah martin we only got tinkled on. There was a spectular lightning storm though. It's fun having a front row seat to one of those--right by a 150 ft. lightning rod.

Oh, an poor widdle '68 is drawing time & a half.

Keep all those numbers in mind in case you ever crash on a remote, deserted island. They might come in handy.

Been out here since the 7th. Should be finished around the 17-18th. Bring the steaks--no alcohol on location though.

Hell, I got plenty of good food here. I usually bring steaks, chicken & fresh veggies. Since I'm here by myself, I can only go to town when the rig's down...which hasn't happened yet. I sent a list with one of the drillers who went into Pampa today, so I'm good.

However, if you wanna see what this rig stuff is like here's the directions:

Take hwy 152 to Pampa (or whatever route you choose)
North on hwy 70 about 35 miles 'til you see the Unit #332 sign (which is almost hidden and right by the road...turn east onto location & follow the signs, which is about 2 miles of windy dirt roads.

I didn't think you could get to a drilling rig without the proper use of orange flagging tape.

    Who do you work for?
