Both baseball and softball are being dropped from the Olympics w/2008 as their last showing. Bids for reinstatement in 2012 were rejected. They will have to wait until 2009 to petition for admittance to the 2016 games.Is it true that women's softball will be dropped as a sport in the Olympics? Will it be in the NEXT Olympics?
Is this because the US has such kick-*ss dominance in women's softball? What is the reason for dropping baseball?(other countries now have some very good national teams)
