And by Pryor peeps, I mean bri....
Did I hear correctly on the news last night that Keith Traylor was arrested there over the weekend for DUI? Is Pryor a lot funner of a place than I realized? I had no idea there were famous folks up there.

In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
No, it just means we have cops.Originally Posted by Mjcpr

PRYOR - Former University of Central Oklahoma football standout Keith Traylor was charged Monday in Mayes County District Court with injuring a public building, driving under the influence and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
A Mayes County jailer said Traylor, who played last season for the Miami Dolphins, was arrested Saturday. Court records show Traylor, a Broken Arrow resident, was released after posting a $5,000 bail.
Traylor, 36, is a 15-year NFL veteran. The 6-foot-2, 337-pound defensive lineman signed with Miami as a free agent in 2005 and started 13 games. Traylor has three Super Bowl rings, two with the Denver Broncos and one with the New England Patriots.
Sometimes I think I drink alot, then I see, like, the Motley Crüe behind the music, and realize I'm a huge *****.
Again....what was he doing in Pryor?
Oh, and I hope that public building is okay.

Fire Destroys Pryor Restaurant
Since 1952, it's been a favorite Pryor landmark, but it only took a few minutes for the Thomas Restaurant to go up in flames.
News on 6 reporter Steve Berg was there with a lot of heart-broken folks in Pryor.
The fire could be seen for miles away, the restaurant is near and dear for many Pryor residents. Not the least of whom of course is the owner who was too upset to talk. Pryor Mayor Jimmy Tramel: "He's really taking it hard, and you would too. This is your life, it's been his life, ever since he was a boy. Y'know he started washing dishes in the back, he's been here all his life."
Tramel says the owner, Darrel Anderson is as much an institution as the restaurant, always helping with the community, giving away meals to anyone who asked. In fact, when the fire broke out, he says the staff was busy cooking for a high school sports banquet.
Fire officials say it looks like this all started with a grease fire in the kitchen. It's big in more than one sense. Pryor Fire chief Sherman Weaver: "It is a major fire, and being a landmark like it is. Y'know, restaurant has been there a lot of years, it's really part of the community."
Unidentified woman: "I feel awful. It's terrible, because we always come over and get our steak dinners on Thursday night and take them home, it's terrible." Lots of people we talk to are hoping he can build again.
The mayor says there might be something they can do about that. "Y'know, everything that's he's given to the community, now let's give back to him, let's help him. He won't ask for help, but y'know let's help him. Let's all get together and raise this building back up so we can have a restaurant."
US Highway 69 through Pryor was closed for several hours because of the fire.
Actually, it sucks to be Pryor EVERY week...we just made the news for it this week.

They still have a golf course up there? I played it a few times when I was in my teens and I remember it being pretty decent.
I practically grew up on that course, haven't played it in several years though. I know it went through a pretty tough stretch there for a few years.
The very first course I ever played was in Porter just off the highway. A grouchy old dude and his equally crabby wife owned it and lived there. I haven't been by there in probably 20 years but I have a feeling that course is long gone.
Not that that has anything to do with Pryor......
Not only does the PCGC endure, but we have TWO courses now.Originally Posted by Mjcpr
