It was just a matter of time.
as a kid in 79-83 or so i was really into baseball (particularly those Astro teams with Jose Cruz, Cesar Cedeno, JR Richard, etc.) and Howe had great stuff. he was definitely to be feared in the old two-division NL West that was coming down to the Dodgers and Astros back then. what a waste of talent. and even in the early days of today's "closer" role he was a bad man.
you know, I'll be the one to go ahead and say it.....odds are he was high on some stuff.
