I'm sure everyone has heard this already, I like the idea...Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be driving a black car Sunday to honor his dad:

awesome
I think it is a great ideal was hoping he would do it someday.
I was just thinking if he wins he may stay the man in black.
I think the car looks awesome, and what better place to run it...Dale Earnhardt was the king at Talladega and Daytona. We're supposed to get rain and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. They're supposed to be gone by 1pm Sunday, but if the track is soaked it takes forever to get Talladega dry...
GIT-R-Done!!!!
I'm mixed on this one. I'm not really a big nascar fan, but I always likedOriginally Posted by walkoffsooner
Dale SR, he was exceptional in many ways.
It's kinda like anyone other that Ronnie Van Zant singing Freebird.
If anyone is going to do this I'd rather it be Junior or Kerrie (hope I spelled his name right). Same goes for anyone ever driving the 3 again (although I really don't think anyone would be able to fill those shoes, regardless of their last name). I figured Junior would've already done this by now, I thought he'd do it for the All Star race at Lowe's.Originally Posted by slickdawg
I think someone should have ponied up enough of a sponsorship to remove all the other jusnk from the car and leave it solid black with a number.
... that's not food.
A good friend of mine will be on the front row in the infield at Talladega. The Bastage!
You only live once, but if you work it right...once is enough!
Thanks to the leadership of jaux, we ponied up enough money to get ourselves a darn tootin' shotgun. How bout we work on getting ourselves a NASCAR sponsorship next?Originally Posted by GottaHavePride
I just realized I don't actually know what jusnk is.

Kyle Petty does something similar to this when he runs an All-black with minimal sponsorship decals at New Hampshire every year in honor of his son.
For the good old American lifestyle: For the money, for the glory, and for the fun... mostly for the money.
I like NASCAR, I follow it pretty regular. But it seems to be more about commercialism anymore. Even more than just the sponsers. But you would think he would have run the car at Daytona.
Anyone gonna shave their back in Honor of Dale?
I don't know if he honoring Dale or just ran in truck race.Originally Posted by StoopTroup
I really doubt that...Richard Childress has been pretty adamant that the #3 will not roll onto a track again as long as he "owns" the number. I also doubt that Junior would WANT to drive the #3.Originally Posted by Osce0la
