    I almost fainted at Hibdon's this morning

    I had a flat tire saturday night. I left my car at the bar and had a friend take me to get it yesterday morning..took it to Hibdon's this morning to get it fixed and apparently, it was unfixable. So the guy says..."yeah..that tire is $250 to replace." Holy hell. for one stinking tire? yep. for a different brand, the cheapest replacement was $185. this is not a $43,000 SUV. this is a little Mazda 3 that cost under $20K.

    Luckily, when i bought the car, I chose the total care plan, and I have replacement coverage for tires. it costs me an extra $3/month. worth it? YES!

    I'd like to take this moment to congratulate the fine engineers at Nissan who designed the spare's wench, jack, and assorted tools.

    I'd also like to direct Angry Eyes at the bastids who wrote the manual...

    at mazda's too. they didn't have tire-changing instructions. Yes, I know how to change a tire, but this is the first time on this new car and i wasn't sure where the jack was supposed to go..my protege had a specific spot just for it.
