The Road Goes on Forever and The Party Never Ends...
This kid looks like a stud. 6'3-4 245-50 pounds and runs a 4.5 jeeeez!
Played at Vero Beach High in FL and was apparently highly regarded in the SEC. Sat out 3 games as a frosh in JUCO and fell off the radar. They just sent out film a week ago, BV picked it up and watched it in a timely fashion that allowed him to get in front of the other coaches.
A 6-3 250 LB who can run is always a good thing. He is only a soph coming in, another advantage. Gives us some depth at MLB if Zach's shoulder becomes chronic.

is he for the fall?
His coach wasn't sure, no other info at this point. A quote from his coach...Originally Posted by jkm, the stolen pifwafwi

"We went down to Fresno State to work with their coaches this spring and they saw film on him and fell in love with him right away. He just blows up everything. Somebody comes across his face and he destroys it.""

He also has that classic rush end physique that Sooner coaches love...

Man, He looks good to me. I love the job BV has done here at OU. We are turning out good LB's every year. I hope Ruuuuuuufus can bring the Butkis trophy back home this year.
I have too much sympathy for myself to feel any for you......
Isn't this kind of early for OU to get a recruit for 2007? I mean, do we every get more than a 1 or 2 kids to commit before summer practices in August?

Depends, a Juco (such as this guy) whom would be a possible January enrollee, would be more likely to commit at a time like this.Originally Posted by The Consumate Showman

under stoops, we've only had one kid this early ever - wolfe...Originally Posted by The Consumate Showman
the most interesting thing about this recruit is that we only have around 10 to give this year.

one person has to not qualify as we are at 86 currently. we only have 9 seniors this year + peterson so any extra after that will add to that number.
This also tells me Patterson is not going to make it...

I bet this kid could POSSIBLY moved to defensive end. We are overloaded with talented linebackers
we are a lot thinner at LB than DE, even with 3 graduating this year...
who all is at DE that wont be graduating beisdes john williams?
jkm...all I count are these: John Williams, Alan Davis, Jeremy Beal, Alonzo Dotson, Austin English, Tim Johnson, Pryce Macon after this years guys graduate.(2 18-19 year-olds and 1 JUCO). We are going to need to recruit some serious DE's. We should be good at DT, though.
