Anybody catch "Big Love" on HBO?

Bill Paxton ("Twister" and the mean big brother in "Wierd Science") plays a fundamentalist Mormon with three wives who owns a chain of home improvement stores in SLC.

I would imagine the LDS church has been burning up the phone and T-1 lines between Salt Lake and HBO headquarters.

I was just surfing by, but jumped aboard and kinda got drawn in. Lots of skronkin' and stuff as you might imagine.

The credits indicate there are at least 40K polyigamists practicing in UT and AZ as we speak.

Watched it. Jeanne Tripplehorn is still good lookin', but that young wife has that nice rounded thing going on.

we saw Jeanne at Deadtown Tavern in Tulsa a few years back. I coaxed my buddy to say "hi Pastel" to her as he walked to the bathroom. she wasn't amused. apparently when you become famous you lose all sense of humor.

Pastel was her name in the flick The Night We Never Met, btw.

also, Bill Paxton tends to end the argument for quality programming.

I watched it last night on HBO On Demand.

It made me stress out just watching it. One of the most uncomfortable watching experiences of my life.

I figured she wanted to be mugged by a bum or something.

The owner of that place got killed by a bum two years ago.

Did no one notice that Napolean Dynamite's g/f at the end of the movie is in this show? She works at a fast-food joint w/one of Paxton's character's daughters.

You're right! I bet that was on purpose.

That was so funny. I saw her and said, "Hey, it's Deb!" Then they showed the sign, "Hey, it's Deb's!"

I went to high school with that dude. He was a really nice guy and totally did not deserve that. As far as the bum/killer, the Tulsa County DA set him free under "self defense" which was a total crock. My brother in law who now works for the Tulsa County DA, says that he has been re-arrested and will stand trial if he is ever cleared to be sane, which will probably never happen. Sad deal all around.

I remember signing a petition to have him locked back up.

Oh and there is nothing wrong with the LDS Church and stuff.

(I feel like my computer typed that sentence on its own)

I have alot of spek for men with multiple wives.

How do they do it? It's hard enough to have one!!

btw- completely unrelated - whoever goes by 'sb68' needs to pm me and tell me your member name here so I can return the spek.

I remember the outrage of some of his friends in the Tulsa area. Everyone said he was a real cool dude and always tried to help the bums around there.

    No good deed goes unpunished.
