yep, the CU radio guys were saying KSU had a press conference right after the game.
Too bad he didn't do well. Didn't he coach at one of the Putnum schools?
he played with Alvin Adams if I am correct
I posted about a month ago that rumor has it they're going after Gene Keady and his shoe polished head.
I would love to see that comb-over in the Big XII. It's the eigth wonder of the world.Originally Posted by picasso

He got fired after that game so fast it would have made his head spin. Good thing he had the neck brace.
ya'll make me sick. This guy just lost his job and its too bad. I thought he deserved more time.
Woolridge is a good man. An Okie, to boot. Would have been nice if he could have hung around another year for the Big XII Tourney in his hometown.
Wooldridge is all class. Period.
I didn't like his hire too much when it was made, he basically got hired because Tex Winter said we should, but after beating a couple of ranked teams early, he won me over. Of course, he was never able to get us over the hump.
I hope that he has much success in everything he does from here on out. He deserves it.
Not a chance.Originally Posted by picasso
Isn't it ironic that he gets the axe in the year they finally won in Lawrence?
Let me see your war face!!
My Frognostication is that the new KSU coach will be Bob Huggins.
not a chance he shoe polises his head or not a chance ksu hires him?Originally Posted by skycat
You just got rid of one weird old man coach. You need to hire another one to balance things out.
I make no claim as to know what that cat does to his dome to pull off that look.Originally Posted by picasso
You'd have to ask Ike, but I'm not sure that the law of Conservation of Odd Coaches has been shown to be true.
One last thing on Wooldridge: there have been few times in sport, at any level, that a coach has been as well liked by a fan base at the time for his firing for lack of performance. It's kinda weird. But it's a testament to Coach W.
probably will go after Wichita State Coach--Home of the most boring place on earth
I think moving to Mahanttan would be a step down for the WSU coach.Originally Posted by Vegas Sooner

I can't stand that little punk. I'll never forget him doing the cabbage patch dance (mocking Sooner players) as an assistant in the '88 finals.Originally Posted by King Crimson
