Apparently there was a security hole in Google during the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2005 and a russian group was able to capture about 75% of google's search logs.
Anyway, if you know what IP address someone uses an/or their gmail email address, you can buy their search logs during that time period for $250.
I had dinner with one of my lawyer buddies tonight and he said he was able to use the service to pretty much shut down any demands by the wife in a divorce settlement because he had her search logs.
I'm trying to find out the address of the Russians right now. Anyone else hear this?
I thought getting anyone's cell phone records was bad enough. This ought to get fairly interesting soon enough if enough of these get out.
