I found a suit I would like to purchase however, finding the right color dress shirts to go with it has been problematic. So I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on what colors work best with gray suits.
TIA.

That's what I figured, but I didn't know what other colors you can use in case variety is needed.Originally Posted by Okla-homey

In addition to white which is safe no matter where or for what purpose you're suited; yellow, pink and variations on blue -- solid, stripes, discrete checks can work.Originally Posted by royalfan5
Also, please wear black shoes and a black belt. I hates me some brown or cordovan leather with a gray suit.

Pink does look really good with the Grey
1. NEVER buy anything yellow unless it's a Lamborghini.
2. White
3. Blue
4. Purple works great with a lighter shade of grey. Pink works too. (Both of those should probably be paired with a darker colored tie of the same color or else you'll end up looking like a clown.)
homey's right, cant go wrong with a white shirt, or a lighter shade of gray will work as wellOriginally Posted by Okla-homey
If you buy a grey suit and pair it with a grey shirt you better damn well have been cast in an episode of The Sopranos, if not, forget it.

white, or light blue
classic white or french blues are sharp.
Nice choice with the conservative, classic-gray, pin stripe
I'm with homey.

remember who asked........
Pink is a given.

If it's a dark gray (grey for the Brits) suit, most dark solid colors will look good.
... that's not food.
I'm assuming, but the suit might actually be a chalk stripe suit.
Also, if youre buying off the rack, no matter how 'well' it fits, spend a couple extra bucks and go to a nice tailor and have it fitted. The chicks will appreciate that. YWIA!
