Do you know SNL fired Parnell for not being funny a few years ago but they changed their mind and later re-hired him. I think the biggest flub was firing Norm McDonald. Norm was awesome.

Yeah Yermom, Don Ohlmeyer an executive at NBC got Norm fired. He didn't think Norm and his OJ Simpson jokes was funny. Ohlmeyer was a pal of OJs apparently. That the story that made the rounds when Norm left. Who knows if it's really true. Also, Norm accidently dropped an F-bomb during Weekend Update which was a further excuse to can him.
