BUT...
If the 2000 OU team is the third best college football team since 1970, I'll wash Pete Fiutak's a** and drink the water. The argument could be made that the 2000 team is not the third-best Oklahoma team since 1970.
Sombody at CFN has way too much time on their hands.
La Laugh is a quality win??
WTF is this guy smoking?
Well, the site says that it is NOT a Who is the Best Team list, but who had the best season.
I like the fact that the top 4 are Big 12 Schools..
I am saying WTF to the fact that I do not see OU 2004 on that list....anywhere unless I am blind.
I think I probably shouldn't even mention this.Originally Posted by OklahomaTuba

So a win over a 6-5 Kansas team is given the same weight as a win over a 12-2 nebraska team and less than OU's win over KS in the 2000 conference title game.
I could set up a system and assign the points in a way that would support Okie State being the best team in the conference this year.
What a piece of garbage article and it just serves as further proof that most sports reporters are retarded and totally useless for any meaningful purpose.

Forgive me please. I totally forgot.

i'm thinking that these are teams that won the MNCOriginally Posted by RooseveltRoughRider
i thought the same thing, but i see 2005 usc on there...
Looks like they re-evaulated their formula from before the RB. They had OU 2000 behind FSU 1993 and NU 1971. They gave OU an extra 0.5 for beating KSU at 11-3 twice.
Anyway, I seriously doubt this will change the price of beer.

Wakey Wakey Eggs & Bakey...
There are quite a few factors they're not considering. For instance, a win over A&M in 2005 and 2000 are given the same weight...
They also don't seem to give much weight to "elite" wins...our score in 2000 was only 1 more point than this year, DESPITE the fact we played 4 games vs. their two? So, adding a win vs. ULaLa gives you a point but playing a top 5 team instead only gives you .5? A little ridiculous if you ask me.
