Seems to me like picking this kid up is a no-lose situation. He's highly sought, and has played a little JUCO ball, so he's starting to make the transition from high school to college. His website mentioned CU heavily, but I'm wondering if all the turmoil there changed his mind?
He's got 4 years to play 3. They can let him push Bomar a little, and use him as a backup, or put a redshirt on him with the intention of letting him grow for awhile.
We've got another recruit coming in out of HS, so hopefully, we can let PT make his 100% transition to WR.
I liked the last JUCO QB we got with the initials JH.
An irony in the recruitment of Halzle is that rivals has this new second page where they list primary recruiters for players, and for him it has Gundy as his primary recruiter.

well good for gundy
Scott, not trying to be provocative here, but is there something about Gundy that makes that surprising?
The rumor is that he is an arrogant jerk...That's the rumor atleast. Don't know how valid it is. I don't know the guy.
Yeah, I've heard that for years. He was supposed to be quite a tool when he was in school. But if he can recruit, he can stay awhile
Yeah, fine with me!
Heupel, Hybl, Halzle...
they have Hs and Ls in their names...this could be a good thing..Originally Posted by gdc

Coaches with first names that begin with B's seem to work well for us. Why not then?
Mostly the fact that Long was listed as the primary recruiter a couple weeks ago.Originally Posted by Seamus
yeah pretty much what Rhino said, that it was widely posted/believed that Long was his primary recruiter.Originally Posted by Seamus

With a record of 109-23 (.826) and six Big 12 championships in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.
