    vBulletin 3.50 has gone Gold!

Finally released you can see the official thread at vbulletin.com:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156067

    Summary of Changes: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showp...50&postcount=4

It's a major version release and contains lots of new features and enchancements. There is a plugin system that would make it much easier to install third party features.

This means far better handling of site sponsorship. Third party hacks can be installed and uninstalled far easier. And perhaps true thead administrator abilities!!!!!

Re: vBulletin 3.50 has gone Gold!

Well one of my favorite forums has just upgraded to vBulletin 3.50 and some of the features are pretty sweet. Inline editing! I think I'm going to get spoiled. I bet the improved sponsor support is sweet (perhaps we finally get true thread administration?).

Re: vBulletin 3.50 has gone Gold!

You click on the edit button, and instead of going to the full edit screen, you basically get a quick reply type appearance of your post right there in the thread! Very sweet and very quick. For any of the administrator/moderator types, yes, this means inline post administration as well (alone a huge upgrade). This would make keeping the game threads on-topic a breeze.

The upgrade is surprisingly smooth and easy. There is a nice walk through on the vBulletin sites (.org and .com) and the reviews are very positive. I'm really looking forward to having true thread administrator abilities as advertised.

Well Mjcpr, I'm glad you asked! vBulletin is sold for license. I forget how long the licenses last, but I think it's for one year. I'm pretty sure you get free upgrades as long as your license is current.

With this particular upgrade promising such new and interesting features, whilst being easy to perfrom, I see many good things for the near future of this board!
